FILMS AND VIDEOS

Some of the films that I have been involved in
as visual artist, writer, artistic producer or as a film director.
Experimental films, video art, documentaries, other’s.

Odju di Tera | Olhos da terra
Silénsi ku Fogo |  Silêncio e Fogo
In the stillness of an image, there is a presence that speaks. This video installation portrays
the faces of the women who fought for Guinea-Bissau’s independence. These are portraits
that breathe, observe, and refuse to be forgotten. This installation proposes silence as a form
of discourse. Their odjus—direct, restless—create a visual archive of resistance. This is the
sound of struggle in its most silent yet most present form.  Video Installation - 2025

This video is part of a online exhibition  “Sounds of Resistance” curated by KJ Abudu for Der
Greif Guest Room.  For viewing inquiries, please contact the artist. Contact

Still

Video Art - 14’32 2025
Still is a nearly motionless sequence of sky images that invites us to pause and listen to time
amidst collapse, excess, and the noise of the now. It asks how to be and see when everything
rushes and screams, lingering without answers as it breathes and expands.

Mistida

Mistida delves into the living memory of the former women fighters of the war for independence
in Guinea-Bissau and Cape Verde, to reclaim fragments of history in the feminine. Whether by
choice or against their will, they went to war in pursuit of a better and more equal future, in a
necessary imperative that led them to fight alongside their fellow men. Mistida crosses war
accounts with portraits of daily life, reconstructing life stories while revealing the inheritance
of time.

need to survive and the desire for artistic expression. The documentary invites us to follow her
intimacy, revealing her pain, her dreams and the strength that drives her. The documentary
