Ondju di Tera. Silénsi ku Fogo.

video installation 2025
In the stillness of an image, there is a presence that speaks. This video installation portray the faces of the women who fought for Guinea-Bissau’s independence. These are portraits that breathe, observe, and refuse to be forgotten. This installation proposes silence as a form of discourse. Their odjus(eyes)—direct, restless—create a visual archive of resistance. This is the sound of struggle in its most silent yet most present form.

This video is part of a online exhibition “Sounds of Resistance” curated by KJ Abudu for Der Greif - Guest Room.
