Monica Musoni (b. 1972, Nigel, SA), is a visual artist living and working between Lisbon and Brussels.
Working with photography and video, her practice develops through sustained observation. Rather than beginning with a fixed concept, her work emerges from the act of looking itself, allowing images to unfold over time.
Her photographs and moving-image works often approach subjects closely, creating a space where recognition becomes uncertain and perception slows down. Without seeking definitive narratives, her work invites the viewer to remain with the image, allowing meaning to emerge gradually.
In 2021, she co-founded Under_Construction Atelier in Brussels with multidisciplinary artist Maria João Flôxo.
Her work has been exhibited in collective exhibitions and independent art spaces in Lisbon, Brussels and Manchester.
