Monica Musoni
(b. 1972, Nigel, South Africa)
The visual artist has been developing an artistic practice (CV) in the
sphere
of cinema and contemporary art, between Lisbon and Brussels.In the last years she has worked with photography and video in order to build her body of work around the axes of memory, perception, and time-space. For the artist, the intent is to blur the frontiers between reality and fiction while questioning the boundaries of image-making, using sound and/or other materials to create a unique sensorial experience.
In 2021, she opens her first atelier in partnership with the multidisciplinary artist Maria João Flôxo, in Brussels. Under_Construction Atelier.
Her work has beeen exhibit in collective and alternative spaces in Lisbon, Brussels, and Manchester have showcased her work.
Currently, she lives and works between Lisbon and Brussels (Belgium).
